Natural Cooling

During the winter or colder months, low temperatures and seasonal conditions enable natural cooling via chillers to promote energy saving and thus lower costs.

This configuration relies on a plate heat exchanger to be parallel to the condenser in instances where the ambient air temperature is lower than that of the chilled water contained within the chiller itself. The chilled water is separated from the cooling water system by the plate heat exchanger, preventing the chilled water line from being contaminated.

Such a set-up is suitable for both open and closed cooling towers, and is now commonly used across multiple industries.

Euroklimat continues to lead the way in terms of R290 chillers, with their popularity attributed to a number of factors:

They are natural – as an aliphatic hydrocarbon, propane is obtained by fractional distillation from oil and natural gas, producing minimal emissions.

Ecological functionality – R290 has a global warming potential (GWP) of just 3, which is significantly lower than that of R410A, R407C and other commonly used refrigerants.

High levels of efficiency – our chillers have an energy efficiency ratio (EER) of +12% compared to an equivalent R410A unit, highlighting the ratio of cooling output (in BTU) to the electrical input at a given operating point.

Safety compliant – all units manufactured by Euroklimat and proposed by Andrews Air Conditioning & Refrigeration have been tested to the strictest industry regulations in a range of working environments, with a zero leaks guarantee coming as standard.
