Introduction
Production processes often produce excessive heat. This can adversely affect the productivity of your staff as well as potentially damaging your stock of raw materials or finished goods. Air conditioning, even in selected problem areas, can transform staff morale and productivity, leading to a very rapid pay back on your investment. Andrews Air Conditioning Services works with a diverse range of manufacturing businesses to ensure their productivity is never compromised by an inappropriate or inconsistent working environments.
Case Studies
An international producer of chilled foods needed help to create a detailed asset register of their air conditioning equipment across 70 sites. They approached Andrews Air Conditioning Services and, through our national team of Area Managers, together we surveyed every site and developed a comprehensive record of the manufacturer, age, condition, refrigerant gas type and volume for their entire air conditioning asset base. This enabled a planned maintenance regime to be implemented together with a structured, fully costed programme for the replacement of end-of-life systems.
A global leader in the production of sporting equipment required very close environmental control in a number of assembly areas. Not only was temperature critical, but the production process was also highly sensitive to changes in relative humidity. They were glad of the technical assistance available from Andrews Air Conditioning Services. The existing close-control packaged air conditioning units were causing problems with excessively low humidity. The solution was to install supplementary humidification equipment to the air conditioners to achieve the optimum air temperature and moisture content. As an additional benefit, Andrews Air Conditioning Services worked with its sister company, Andrews Sykes Hire, to provide an immediate temporary humidification package prior to the installation of the permanent solution.
